About Us

If you are obsessed with DIY and house renovations as much as we are, then this blog is for you.

My name is Natalie and along with my better half Michael we renovate second-hand but new (to us) homes for the pure joy and love of completing a good project and seeing our vision come to life.

We both hold down full-time jobs, have a little one on the way and renovate during the evenings and weekends to complete our projects.

Our life is extremely busy but honestly, we would not have it any other way. Mike and I have been obsessed with houses for as long as we can remember, we just love all those little and unique details about houses and can talk about them happily for hours on end, we love the whole process, from house inspections, to planning and building.

We are self-taught and have completed many projects from owner builder Granny flat builds, cosmetic renovations to full house conversions.

Our most recent purchase is an old and neglected 1970s home that sits on a steep slope, two stories high, full of previous renovation disasters, hazards, rodents, and bugs. A back second level door that leads to a two story drop and a makeshift set of front entre stairs that are rotten and falling apart.
